Esperanza Semi-Formal

Esperanza is a Christian run medical clinic in North Philadelphia. Esperanza (Spanish for Hope) began in 1987 under the leadership of Dr. Carolyn Klaus. Dr. Klaus, while working with a number of concerned health professionals from several inner-city churches, discerned a need for a holistic, culturally sensitive, sterling healthcare center in North Philadelphia. Compelled by Christian Faith, in cooperation with the Church and others, Esperanza seeks to change lives by providing healthcare oriented to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Philadelphia's Latino Community.

For the past several years, the Christian Community at Penn has held a yearly semi-formal dance in the spring as a fundraiser to support Esperanza's medical efforts in the Philedelphia Community. If you are interested in getting involved in the planning of this event, please email Justin Mills at: justinrmills (at) gmail (dot) com.
